This fiber installation was created with thousands of stitches in wool. Hundreds of crocheted urchins. Strands and strands of twisted roving. Backed in cotton and hung just so to grace this gorgeous living space for my client.

Inspired, always, by the ocean and influenced strongly by the colors, shapes and textures of the natural world. This piece is a glimpse into a tide pool and all it’s living parts and pieces. Intricate, as well as textural, this pieces allows the eye to flow though all the nooks and crannies as though you stand above a new world, feet on the sandy beach with the ocean breeze swirling through your hair.

Rooted in Nature and Story. Kellen weaves the Wild Outdoors into her pieces and brings that Love of Nature inside.
